Who am I

I was born and live in Slovenia (a small European country bordering on Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia), Ljubljana (the capital). I've been in astrology for over 20 years and have done a pioneering job of introducing astrology to my part of the world. I teached the first astrology course in Slovenia back in 1989.

I specialize in traditional, predictive and mundane astrology. Being a full-time professional astrologer, I do all sorts of work - counsulting, teaching and writing. Those people whose books and other writings have taught me most and inspired me towards my own research and practice, have been some ancient writers like Ptolemy, Manilius, Masha'allah and Paulus Alexandrinus, followed by Guido Bonatti, William Lilly, Jean-Baptiste Morin and Alan Leo. Among the more contemporary writers and teachers, those who have influenced me most include Stephen Arroyo, Ronald Davison, Reinhold Ebertin, Olivia Barclay (my personal tutor at QHP course), Dennis Elwell, Martin Davis, Jim Lewis, Kt Boehrer, Bill Meridian, Bernadette Brady and Ken Ring.

Qualifications

My astrological titles are D.F. Astrol. S. (Diploma Faculty of Astrological Studies, 1990), Q.H.P. (Qualified Horary Practitioner, 1993), CMA (Certified Medieval Astrologer, 2004) and ISAR CAP (Certified Astrological Professional, 2010). Beside my astrological qualifications I hold a BA in English and German languages from the University in Ljubljana.

Teaching

I was the first to teach astrology in my country (1989), and there is hardly an astrologer in Slovenia who hasn’t done at least part of her/his training in my class. In 1999, I founded Astrological Academy Stella, a 3-year program consisting of 9 individual courses for which I also wrote 9 accompanying manuals. Starting this year I have increased the number of total class hours from about 300 to 500 so as to reach the ISAR standards for an affiliate school. My students who successfully pass the diploma exam receive the title DAstrolS.

Books and articles

Slovenia being such a small country - with only about 2 million inhabitants - its public demand for specialized astrology books in Slovenian language is relatively small. This is the main reason why my comprehensive teaching manuals haven't been published as books yet, but I have written a more standard book Sonce in Luna (The Sun and the Moon – 144 astrological combinations) which first came out in Slovenian language in 1997, soon became a bestseller and was republished in 2004.

Since 2005, I have been publishing two yearly publications in Slovenian language: Lunin vodnik (Moon Guide) and Ljubezenski horoskop (Love Horoscope).

For the last 16 years I have been writing a regular column in one of the main Slovenian weeklies Slovenske Novice (Astronovice) and have made numerous TV-appearances and interviews in Slovenian press.

My astrological articles in English language appeared in the Horary Practitioner, Traditional Astrologer, the AA Journal and on the www.skyscript.co.uk (Deborah Houlding's page).

Services

In collaboration with my partner who is a computer programmer, I run a service offering computerized yearly reports, which was also launched earlier this year in English language as Personal Predictive Calendar under the Astrojoy trademark (www.astrojoy.com). I wrote all the texts for both reports.

Other

I am currently an AA (Astrological Association of Great Britain) and ISAR (International Society of Astrological Reasearch) member. I was a speaker at the 3rd Balkan Conference in Belgrade in 2003, one of my talks being on vocational astrology (in Serbo-croatian language) and the other on the progressed Moon (in English). I talked on the progressed Moon and on the missed people horaries at the first Slovenian international astrology congress in May 2010, and on the solar and lunar eclipses at the same conference in May 2011. I spoke on the progressed Moon at the 2011 annual AA conference at Wyboston Lakes, Cambridge, UK, and am scheduled for a free lunch-time lecture at the UAC in New Orleans, USA, on the topic of co-natal eclipses in natal delineation.
